Sarah Lakhal is a PhD student in Islamic Art and Provenance Research at Sorbonne University. She is preparing a thesis on the constitution of collections of objects from the Maghreb in French museums during the colonial period under the supervision of Eloïse Brac de la Perrière and Felicity Bodenstein. She also attended the Master’s program in Cultural Communication and Digital Heritage at the University of Paris-Nanterre where she specialized in Digital Humanities. She has taken part in various research programmes on Digital Humanities including the Mashreq-Maghreb project (Sorbonne-Université/CNRS, 2019) and the mapping of African collections in French museums (INHA, 2021).
Within the CallFront team, Sarah is manager of the digital corpus developed on Omeka. She is also the administrator of the project website and its social media.
